In the wake of the earthquake in Haiti, New England’s Portuguese-American community is hosting a relief concert and telethon benefiting the victims of this tragic disaster. This event will be held at Durfee High School in Fall River MA at 7PM on Saturday, Feb. 6 2010.
The event will consist of a show featuring live performances by some of our community’s most respected artists. It will be aired on several national and international TV stations (LIVE) and well as radio stations and even streamed via the internet.
We are calling on the Portuguese-American community to help the people of Haiti, by making as generous of a contribution as you can. Thousands of Haitians have suffered tremendous losses due to the earthquake. They desperately need our help to begin rebuilding their lives and their communities.
All proceeds will go directly to the American Red Cross.
